It is the policy of the parish that parents wishing to
have their child baptised in St Williams, Sacred Heart or
Our Lady of Dolours, participate in a preparation evening
prior to the baptism. This evening offers the opportunity
to reflect on the Sacrament of Baptism as the first of the
Sacraments of Initiation and the responsibility of the parents
as the First Educators of Faith of their child. Registration
Forms and other administrative details are also attended to
on this evening.
Baptism Preparation Nights are
held:
WHEN - the first Thursday of each month (excluding
January)
HOW LONG WILL IT GO FOR - approx 1hr 10minutes
TIME - 7.30pm
WHERE IS IT HELD - Daley Centre, St Williams Church

Sacramental
Preparation for Families
The parishes of St Williams and Our Lady of Dolours have adopted the Guidelines of the Archdiocese of Brisbane for Sacramental Preparation of Children and thus have established a Family Based Program. Within this program, the parents, resourced and
supported by the Parish, prepare their children for the celebration of the sacraments of
Confirmation, First Communion and First Reconciliation. The children celebrate these sacraments within the parish community at celebrations which are prepared and organized by the Parish.
A brief outline of the program:
Parents register their child with the parish for inclusion
in the program.
Parents attend preparations workshop
For the Sacraments of Confirmation/First Communion children are enrolled.
Cluster workshop is organised
